Letters and bills from Theodat Jarry relating to purchases of works. These letters and bills are annotated in John Bowes' handwriting but not all in his usual manner. As it is unclear whether they have been extracted from original series, they have been kept separate. If they were removed from original series, it is likely that this was done by Charles Hardy in the 1960s during his research for his book 'John Bowes and The Bowes Museum'.
